Mary 03:55
A drop of you fell on the window of my conscience It grew into a steady rain of infatuation Oh, dear Mary; I loved you from first sight When you looked me in the eyes And the clouds cascaded a torrent You're a false hope Like your false personality And I loved you Only to cope with my own false reality Oh, Mary Can you look me in the eyes and tell me you were wrong this time? My mind now saturated with love for your persuasive touch My heart now beating, consumed by your deceptive embrace Oh, dear Mary; I sought to keep you from first sight When you looked me in the eyes And I sought to let that feeling linger You're a false hope Like your false personality And I loved you Only to cope with my own false reality Oh, Mary Can you look me in the eyes and tell me I was wrong this time? I was wrong this time

Smile 04:23
Smile at me darlin', let me see We've only got tonight to be free Oh you're so beautiful, even when you're drunk I think I'm tipsy too, let's have some fun I hear you whisper sweetly in my ear "Baby, tonight I have no fear" Oh, your long blonde hair evokes a stare from me But deep down I know it ain't happening 'Cause darlin', before we kiss, you would think over this There ain't enough whiskey in the world to make you stay Oh, you're just in town this week, then you're headed southeast And you'll go back home to your man and forget my name I felt it unravel before it began When we sat under the trees holding hands And I sang to you the loveliest song I knew But I forgot half of the words 'fore I was through 'Cause darlin', before we kiss, you would think over this There ain't enough whiskey in the world to make you stay Oh, you're just in town this week, then you're headed southeast And you'll go back home to your man and forget my name Girl, I think I'll always remember you Even though the moments we spent together were few I wish you well wherever you may be And maybe one day, soon again, we will meet But I ain't counting on that, so goodbye darling
3.
Haven't seen you since the night we kissed Oh it's been about three days since And every hour passes, sends a different message Leaves me feelin' emptiness I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again About you Haven't seen your car at the coffee shop If I did, it'd make my heart stop And every day I'm there I say a different prayer Was I that easy to drop? I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again About you And there's a place for you in my life Somewhere between enemy and wife I guess I don't have a choice in this Still just thinkin' about you, and the night we kissed I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again I'm overthinkin', I'm overthinkin' again About you

Jachelt 04:49
Winter breeze, sing to me Carry her whisper on your breath Recreate me, spoken clearly A gentle kiss from the west Oh, branches, sculpted by her song You're on my mind all of the time Oh, falling leaves, caught by the current I have no choice but to comply If I turn away, I will fall If I do not yield, I won't grow at all Oh, Winter Sing me her song Perpetually leaning in To the direction of her words Inclining to hear the whispering wind Tell its secrets to the world Would all be lost if I lost you? Would I find my place? Would I stretch out my hands to the sky? Would I keep reaching your way? If I turn away, I will fall If I do not yield, I won't grow at all Oh, Winter Sing me her song

about

Recorded in the corner room of Andrew Akins' home in Amarillo, TX.

The Corner Room EP contains extra songs and new production ideas. Released in the wintertime, it's meant to evoke the feelings of cold and dimness. From "Mary" to "Jachelt", Akins' writing has evolved into poignant storytelling; and his arranging incorporates new progressive rock influences.
